Power comes from the 5.2-litre normally aspirated V10 engine but has been detuned to make 550hp (405kW) and not 560hp (412kW) like the LP560-4. A 6-speed manual gearbox comes standard. Don’t let that minor power cut dissuade you from forming high opinions of the car though; it has shed 30kg (66 lbs) and dispatches the 0 – 100km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz Channel, Spy Photos
Some new spy shots have emerged, featuring the 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Cabrio with its top down. Previous sets of spy shots have shown the cabrio with a soft top, riding alongside the E-Class Estate. This is the first time the car has been seen with its top retracted.

Jackson owned at least four limousines, including a 1999 Rolls Royce Silver Seraph that was unusually decorated, to say the least. Our friends at Jalopnik described it well, when they said, “The dark blue Seraph wears an interior which looks to have been pulled directly from the Palace of Versailles.” Jackson was said to have designed the interior himself, which probably explains the generous use of 24-carat gold. The vehicle was said to have a 5.4-liter V12 aluminum engine that generated up to 322 horsepower.

The AMG Driving Academy is being launched Stateside over three tracks; Lime Rock Park (Lime Rock, CT) – September 9 – 15, Palm Beach International Raceway (West Palm Beach, FL) – September 22 – 27 and Laguna Seca Raceway (Monterey, CA) – November 7 – 8 and 17 – 20.

Lorinser is not a tuner that goes out of its way to create cars that scare other motorists off the freeway. Subtle but effective is how they do it over at Lorinser. Occasionally though, they present something like this which is called the Lorinser LV8. It’s based on the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG and instead of pushing out 332kW (451hp) it delivers 368kW (500hp). Maximum torque is also increased to 630Nm. Subsequently the 0 – 100km/h dash can be achieved in 4.3 seconds while top speed goes up to 320km/h.

The most powerful kit for the CL65 sees engine power boosted from 517hp (385kW) in the stock model to 750hp (560kW). Torque levels are also increased to 922lb-ft (1,250Nm). Furthermore, the vehicle has been provided with a high-performance rear axle equipped with a differential lock and a modified transmission control module to handle the boosted power levels.

While the package doesn’t include the X6 M’s 555 hp 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, it boasts several unique styling accessories which help to differentiate it from standard models. Key exterior design differences include more aggressive front and rear bumpers, “shadowline” trim around the windows, additional chrome detailing, and a set of M-design wheels.
